    4. I think it's fuccin hilarious how upset you get over some troll posting one word replies and using an emoji as their username. Funnier still is how obvious it is that emoji man's responses to your weirdly angry comments enrage you that much more. lol

Another thing. jd Fivehead. The nailed it thing is sorta your signature play, huh. Use it on the reddit page too. Different handle, but of course. Still. It's def you.

On that note, wtf would Cirque talk about if not for The Ticket? Bizarro World shit I must say. I mean, going on for months and coming up on years about The Freak, iHeart, and Rhyner I get. You got shitcanned and were left out to dry by Rhyner. But The Ticket angle I don't get. Other than it's the only way you can keep those 35 regulars interested. I mean, my guys, you quit the station to "bet on yourselves." You weren't shitcanned. Same with the Tard Zone dudes. At least they've mostly left that behind . Specially after the suburban street tough publicly embarrassed himself over the Cat reddit lie told by a reddit mod trying to cover their tracks after fuccin up. lol

I for one enjoy some talk of the BTS of the Ticket, especially if it pertains to the times of what was a mass exodus.

-after Danny left, Sirois was offered up the HL producer spot, by ways of Corby (he knew he needed another jokester in the mix) - had he accepted, prolly no Davey. Then per Danny, Davey only took a position if he was 3rd host. Yeah, I'm interested in how that all shook out.

Its an interesting What-If. Like if Monday morning I'm tuning into the Musers, followed by Bewm in da House, HangZone, & Hardline 5.0....

    6. Well poor Mike had to settle for a failed radio station and then Patreon scraps while Davey got a full-time gig and something Sirios always wanted but was too impatient to wait for. Like Reddit CdS needs to move on. You had your chance and you decided the grass was greener. It wasn't so here you are, begging for Patreon subscribers. I thought the Dumb Zone was going to be the cash cow?

  25. I don’t know where Fivehead got his information but it’s just wrong. MS left first, knowing he was going to the freak. That started the game of musical chairs with producers, board ops and ticker guys. Around the same time Norm wanted to retire. I have a source inside the Ticket, I’m told Norm went to Bennet and Catlin to quit immediately after the draft and he was told “contract goes both ways, if you want to leave we can fix it, but keep working as we negotiate the ending of your contract”. At the same time THZ was in negotiations with Cumulus corporate which ended with their poison pill “we want to own what we do, we want the ability to sell our own outside events , like podcast recordings on site, with cumulus having no say in it”. The problem there was THZ could theoretically sell their remotes at the same time as a hardline remote, splitting the stations audience for their own benefit.
So Norm retires, Carlin starts going the tapes and resumes. That whole month of July was the “it’s just drydock, don’t worry it’s just summer vacation”.
And nobody in Dallas really knew what was going on because THZ was negotiating w Atlanta. Once THZ was officially gone, then Catlin started slotting people. I know people bag on McClarin, but the dude is a radio veteran with a ratings track record, something you can’t say for Mike, Danny, TC, Monty, even Jake solo.
So Catlin pairs MM with Donnie, Bass and Mini and Monty etc.
the reason Lane got hired as a host was that as part of the chair shuffling they went from 3 ticker people to 2. That money along the savings of McDowell w 20 years of salary increases vs Mino or Bass, they could hire Dave and DJ and probably still had some money left over

    7. A few thoughts on this subject. First, to take what one side says a couple years and who knows what kind of drug use later as gospel is a fools game. It certainly seems from the sidelines that there is one side that keeps throwing barbs back at the Ticket to drum up business for themselves. Case in point, what ever happened with the Ticket Reddit moderator conspiracy theory? As far as I have seen that all went by the wayside. Where was all of the indisputable proof that was supposed to come out? There is a strike as far as I am concerned with how hard that was pushed that nothing ever became of it. Certainly seems like a grift to drum up subscribers for podcasts. Now as far as asking Cat for "his side" of the story, what possible benefit could that ever be for him? Not saying he is in the right or wrong, but there is no benefit. The Ticket is and has been doing fine since that whole shakeup. Let's just say he actually said he lowballed (or was told to do so) the folks that voluntarily left the Ticket and quit on the spot, would that bring any listeners back? No, of course not, people would just find something else to bitch and whine about. I wish those folks that left the Ticket all the success in the world, but at some point you have to quit pissing and moaning about the Ticket and provide compelling content that people want to pay for.

  26. Had no idea morning drive was such a dangerous profession. So glad the boys have survived all these years under such dangerous conditions. Also believe the only reason Miller continues letters from listeners is to plug the podcast at the end of the segment. Always ends with a pandering letter.

  35. These guys got somethingJanuary 27, 2026 at 10:38 AM

Episode 4 of the Patreon Danny Sirois show was a doozy. Danny talked about how he and Corby had lobbied for Jake to take Rhyner's spot when he retired and they thought Jake was going to be the guy until the 11th hour. Episode 5 they promise to spill the beans on who undermined that plan.

    1. My personal opinion is that show would have been unlistenable over time. I think the 3 of them together would have brought out the worst in all 3 of them.

But then I am a Danny detractor and would immediately punch out of the HL as soon as it sounded like he was going to utter more than a sentence.

  38. I wonder the same thing, Ruthie. Until you said it, and it's true, I hadn't realized all this went down 5 years ago. Cliched to say but it holds: everything changes and we get used to it in pretty short order - except for ex-Ticket employees. Out of curiosity, I did listen to the CdS episodes pertaining to the supposed proposed show and the Cat reddit stuff on YT. I mean, I don't know what to say, really, other than it all being a way to attract a few more subs and keep the ones they already have interested. So I guess there's a small contingent out there that still goes in for Ticket dirt. But I have to think that audience shrinks by the day. At some point it's just not interesting anymore. Not interesting because it no longer carries the same weight, no longer has the same meaning for the listener or sub. I will say that some of what was being said came off as revisionist, almost copium. Some of it sounded genuine. Some of it, to be blunt, sounded like bs either told to them that they've taken to be true or to keep certain things about their role in it and the actual beginnings of The Freak. All of it, including CdS in general, is a bit on the sad side, even depressing. Even if it is merely to generate more subs, they just can't seem to move on. I'll repeat what's already been posted here ad nauseam: they left The Ticket on their own accord; they bet on themselves; they believed (rightly or wrongly) they'd hit their ceiling and decided to forge another path; it was absolutely their right to do so. Therefore their successes and failures are on their shoulders and no one else's. It's like they're standing at the crossroads, paralyzed, unable to move in any direction, fixated on the rearview mirror. That, to me, is depressing.
