A home for those who love almost everything about The Ticket (1310 AM, 96.7 FM, Dallas-Fort Worth), and who would like to discuss -- respectfully and fondly -- their thoughts on how (and whether) to eliminate the "almost."

Gobble Gobble
I wish all Confessors a happy and safe Thanksgiving and weekend.
And I thank all three Musers for their courage in broadcasting today.
Sorry for no live redhead today -- couldn't find anything holiday-appropriate. It's a little NSFW, so I'm making it small.

It's just not Thanksgiving until they play Social Justice Warrior Corby's song about an Indian whore and hitting a woman with a frying pan.
ReplyDeleteThe Musers and Hardline both seem reasonably engaged today, good shows both.
ReplyDeleteBut I entirely agree with 1152's implied point about "Thanksgiving Loves the White Man," which it appears the Hardline is about to play again; I've punched out.
Corby can be a funny man, I probably laugh out loud more at him than any other host (except maybe Craig "Junior" Miller), but this -- wow, a low point of every Ticket year. Cat, put a stop to it. You don't have to be a PC concern-troll to be appalled by songs purporting to find humor value in "Indian whores" and violence against women.
Here are my previous thoughts on "Thanksgiving Loves the White Man"; sorry that linking is such a thrashing in these comments:

Anyone know tomorrow's lineup?
ReplyDeleteStarts with Sean Bass and Justin Montemayor in the Musers' slot, that's all I know.
ReplyDeleteTony Romo:
ReplyDelete(1) Noticeably more subdued and much, much better for it. Excellent color performance.
(2) Terrible rug. It's not worth it.
I think the lineup is as follows:
ReplyDeleteSean and Monty 530-10. NaD 10-12. BaD 12-3. And CF 3-6\630 (Stars game, early exit). Ought to be a good good strong day. Looking forward to BaD and CF Cowboys HSOs.
Its not a rug Plainsman.. He has had his original rug enhanced. There is a close-up photo of him at a CBS event where if you zoom on hairline you can see the micro grafts where there was previously no hair. He has the money for as many micrografts as he wants.

If you zoom in on hairline you will see the tiny individual grafts where previously there was no hair. Same procedure Tom Brady had done many years ago.
Thank you for the correction. It looked like a rug to me because there was no hairline, and grafts look usually less like a deceased marmot. But I'm no expert on hair, as anyone who knows me would perceive. That picture you linked didn't look like he looked yesterday.
ReplyDeletePlainsman...Are you claiming you also won the hair lottery?
ReplyDeleteLiked the Monte + Sean show this morning.
ReplyDeleteBrilliant call by fake Killer on NaD this morning. Love you Sirois.
ReplyDeleteWifi.
Creekville.
So.
S&M were solid and CF is holding its own. The future of the Little One is in good hands.
ReplyDeleteHow is Josh Hamilton's ALS, Plainsman?
ReplyDeletePlus, is an impending Cumulus bankruptcy or a further dilution of a staff's stock more realistic after Mary's appearance? She killed Readers Digest in 2011 after four years. Mary has been with Cumulus for just two.
What's with the shot, DA? That isn't your m o.
ReplyDeleteellislives, let's put it this way: When I go for a walk, I love to feel the wind between my hair.
ReplyDeleteRose.... Lauer....
ReplyDeleteWho at the ticket is "wearing a diaper" like Danny suggested on the show yesterday about men in power that have done inappropriate things at work to woman ?
Will it be an on-air person or someone behind the curtain that a story from a ticket chick or traffic chick come out about ?
