A home for those who love almost everything about The Ticket (1310 AM, 96.7 FM, Dallas-Fort Worth), and who would like to discuss -- respectfully and fondly -- their thoughts on how (and whether) to eliminate the "almost."

I Like It When Julie Dobbs Says the Score Is "Nine to Zero" or "Six to Zero"
As I heard her do with some recent Ranger scores.
It's not what I'd call a profound topic, but wanted to get something new up to see if we couldn't get some innarestin new thread started.

I love Judo. She is great at Tickers and has a really great personality and sense of humor. Her interaction with BaD is really enjoyable. I assume she is good with Norm and D as well. Great hire.
ReplyDeleteI am typically a Corby supporter with his sense of humor but I about had it today with the righteous indignation over Urban Meyer's light treatment by Ohio State leadership when he basically made excuses for Joe Mixon punching a woman in the face. Where was the outrage from Corby on that?
ReplyDeleteThe difference is there was never any video of the Joe Mixon assault. It's all just conjecture. No wait...
Delete@11:09 - Remember, the first step is admitting there's a problem. Now that you've gotten past that, get comfortable. You are welcome here.
ReplyDeleteI was totally unaware of the Train Station meltdown last Saturday. Nobody talked about it all week.
ReplyDeleteAdding onto above. Doesn't George pay for that air time? If he abruptly ends the show a minute in doesn't he still have to pay for the time? (They went to Rotten Radio)
ReplyDeleteBoth the TSFS and the TB are paid for. George Degianni??? is the biggest wound up piece of mess that I've ever heard. He needs to lay off he GinoStem.
DeleteEllislives: The Joe Mixon assault video is available online.
ReplyDeleteYep that was his point...
DeleteBaD Radio played the George DiGianni audio earlier in the week
ReplyDelete@Surly
ReplyDeleteThat's what I get for going to the bathroom.
Hey Corby, anybody who services Barry Switzer on the air doesn't need to be zinging Bob and Dan about a soft interview with Tony Dungy.
ReplyDeleteThe frequency with which Mike Rhyner is incapable of answering simple follow-up questions to any of the stories he is presenting (when it's his lead) is quite frustrating.
ReplyDeleteAgreed. Mike gives generic answers a lot...no better or worse than what your average Ticket listener could give. When he's invested in a topic, he's great. But he's rarely invested.
ReplyDeleteLove Julie.
Corby and Danny are so out of touch. They would have you think there is only one person on the planet who doesn't honor John McCain's military service. Believe me, there a many. But they've got to get in their shot.
ReplyDelete(Disclosure: I am a Vietnam vet who considers McCain's POW experience heroic.)
Well, Corby is out of touch; I think Danny just plays along.
