A home for those who love almost everything about The Ticket (1310 AM, 96.7 FM, Dallas-Fort Worth), and who would like to discuss -- respectfully and fondly -- their thoughts on how (and whether) to eliminate the "almost."
I got a little misty eyed hearing Jake-Z with his new daughter. I think they picked a great name and that he will be a great father. And what great timing - after 11 hours in labor she hit 4:20 on the nose??!! Congratulations to the newly- expanded Kemp family.
Indeed, the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of My Ticket Confession have authorized and directed me to issue heartiest congratulations and best wishes to the Kemps.
I support Anon 2:52. Asinine comment from 1:44. Where is the moderator when you need him. TC and Jake are best friends and TC is pursuing his own path. I admire his decision to move on from the Little Ticket. Your comment is beyond stupid 1:44
I heard from a friend this afternoon that Mahomes is the first Big 12 QB to win an NFL playoff game. I didn't know this fact has been all over sports websites today, so I tweeted it, asked Bob Sturm to verify it. What follows is a hilarious conversation where possibly-sober Corby threatens to challenge Troy Aikman to a throwing contest while Bob issues a direct hit to Corby. I am very satisfied to have started this whole thing. Check it out on Sturminator's Twitter feed.
James, I did a little research and found that Marc Bulger, QB for the then St. Louis Rams, defeated Seattle in the playoffs on January 8, 2005. Burger played his college ball at current Big 12 school West Virginia. If the caveat is that the school must have been a Big 12 member when the QB played there, then that would disqualify Marc Bulger since West Virginia was not a member of the Big 12 when Bulger attended. Same thing for Steelers QB Cordell Stewart who attended University of Colorado, but was not a member of the Big 12 till 1996, the same year Stewart won a playoff game for the Steelers. Very interesting information located while doing this research, so thanks for bringing up a very good question.
Really? Jub couldn't get a day off on Monday so he could go to a sporting event that would certainly burn at least two segments next week? I wouldn't think it would be Ticket funded, but would think that Cat would be onboard with him missing Monday's show to have stories to tell on Tuesday.

ReplyDeleteSo is Bird Box a must see or is it like one of Gordo's 8:40 bits that are good only once in a while?
ReplyDeleteI think that Craig loved it but not sure how the others felt.
p.s.
I am happy for the Kemp family as well. Now we will see Jake turning into Jub in his early years.

ReplyDeletePoor TC. He continues to lose out to Jake in life one achievement and milestone at a time. Stay hard TC.
ReplyDelete144, what's wrong with you?

Yes, the stat was since the Big 12 existed. Otherwise Troy Aikman was a Big 12 quarterback
