-- Let's face it, what I really want is photos of TicketChicks.
They are usually very happy to pose for you and sometimes even with you. I think The Ticket stocks (no pun intended) up on TicketChicks for TicketStock, so the talent is usually abundant.
Yeah, I've got a sick family and plains duties and am not going to make it to Irving. Really, if you go, drop us a line. Photos and everything else to:

I've never been able to make it to a TicketStock, and this year will be no different. I'll have to live vicariously through everyone else.
ReplyDeleteLooks like KTCK is back on top of the ratings. The top 4 shows are on The Ticket.
ReplyDeleteMakes me wonder if people are going elsewhere for their Cowboy football talk during the season and then coming back to The Ticket once the season is over.

Here's a Monday-Friday breakdown of men 25-54 in shows from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Dec. 31 to Jan. 27 (Note: The Ticket's 10 a.m. to noon show has doubled its ratings since Donovan Lewis joined Norm Hitzges on the final day of August.)
The Musers (Ticket), 6-10 a.m. - 11.5
BaD Radio (Ticket), noon-3 p.m. - 6.9
The Hardline (Ticket), 3-7 p.m. - 6.5
Norm & Donovan (Ticket), 10 a.m.-noon - 6.3
Ben & Skin (Fan), 3-7 p.m. - 4.4
Mike & Mike (KESN), 5-9 a.m. - 4.1
G-Bag Nation (Fan), 10 a.m.-3 p.m. - 3.9
Shan & R.J. (Fan), 6-10 a.m. - 3.9
Cowlishaw & Mosley (KESN), 3-6 p.m. - 2.2
Dennis & Friedo (KESN) 11 a.m.-3 p.m. - 2.1
Dan Le Batard (KESN), 9-11 a.m. - 1.5
Too bad they don't webcam Ticketstock. But I guess they want to maximize foot traffic for the vendors who bought booths.
ReplyDeleteThere is a caveat of sorts to those numbers (and it's found within the Horn piece): Only The Ticket includes stream listeners in their numbers. Surely that factor skews the bias harder toward a positive outcome for The Ticket.
ReplyDeleteRegardless. Very interesting to see that one of the bookends/anchors (DnM being the other, of course) of the station is basically even with a two hour late-morning show (TIoNaD)k. And. The midday program is beating said bookend/anchor.
I'd like to see the numbers without the stream data tacked on.
Also would like to know where all the G-Bag FAN Fans are? The ones who were posting over and again about how there's a new sheriff in DFW Sports Talk Radio Town. Ditto Mike Fisher; who bragged on-air how The FAN's ratings were solely based on content and had zilch to do with the Cowboys and/or Rangers.
I'd also like to hear from all of the anons who claimed that TC and Jake were causing BaD listeners to leave in droves.
ReplyDeleteHow does a spare like Kid get into a Grammy party?
ReplyDeleteAnd Paul McCartney does not.
ReplyDeleteBaD is still terrible thanks to the addition of IJB. #'s lie. It's The Ticket machine not the quality of the program from 12-3.
ReplyDeleteHope someone will teach CT Fluming how to use the cough button at ticket stock.
Nothing better than Jub getting the giggles during a life spot.
I hope Mr. Ed Delgado beats Jack Z's arse all over the Irving Convention Center floor. That would be so wonderful. Go Ed!!
ReplyDeleteAmen, Shaggy.
ReplyDeleteWell, ed fes why wouldn't the others include their online share? It was idiotic that it had not been counted and is this a new development? The footprint of radio should absolutely be measured in their online impact. I would venture that at least half of my time spent is online in some form or another.
ReplyDeleteI am seriously considering going to that rusty bishop's mitre of a building tomorrow to see what there is to see. It would be a first. I have to get up with the chickens to take my daughter to some science camp thing and I could very easily steer the wagon east at that time of the morning.
I still don't mind the IJB contingent. You think GBag Nation is any better? They are cut from the same demographic slice.
It was an interesting listen to the later round table talking about Leon in relation to the guys on the station. I did not listen to much of Leon and Norm back in the day. Probably once or twice when Rocco was being particularly annoying.

I got an eye roll from the woman with my new Ticket drop toy.
ReplyDeleteThis has been a good day.
Eh, not sure I follow your second comment/rhetorical-ish question directed at me, cactusflinthead. The first I do, and while I would ask the same question, the fact is they do not. Hence my interest in seeing the numbers sans streaming.
ReplyDeleteDon't take it personally, ed. If you haven't noticed, anytime cactus posts something after 9pm it reeks of after dinner drinks that actually started before happy hour. A bit rambling, a bit nonsensical, sometimes funny, sometimes insightful, often times head scratch inducing.
ReplyDeletethat isn't very head scratching.
ReplyDeletethey, the Fan and ESPN can include the online numbers as well
if they do, does it change the results?
whether or not I did or didn't this evening is immaterial
why would they now choose to include those numbers? does it make any difference in the results?
isn't that what you asked?
thanks anon for hiding behind that veil
See what I mean, ed.
ReplyDeleteIf you can get to it in the next 6 hours, search for @MYTQuinn1 on Twitter. He periscoped the entire 1:15 of the time wasters performance. It's available to watch on Twitter for the next 6hrs. I'm hoping to figure out a way, or find someone to record it off their phone so we can have it forever and pass along to people who couldn't go. An awesome record to have!
ReplyDeletePlease tell me a way if you know and I'd be happy to do it!
Go out and talk to long time P1s. Not 5 year guys but 10+, and you'll find that most are put off by a number of the "JV" guys. TC being the most common answer. My group of high school friends (early 2000's) have nearly all turned into P2s or P3s in large part because of them.
ReplyDeleteAnd Mr. Anonymous 8:11....if true then those "long" time listeners have been replaced by new listeners...... but really... small sample size.
ReplyDeleteBut as long as you are small sample sizing....in my circle of friends that are long time (Day 1, 1994) P1 listeners, they are still P1's and listen regularly.
Not sure it impacts listening habits, but my buddies who listen are embarrassed at times how millenials are represented on the station. Call it the Dylan effect.
