I Cannot Get Danny's "Swimmin' Pool" Theme Song Out of My Head
Been tormenting me for a week now. I feel like one of those guys who is prepared to damage his own skull to get those cursed alien transmitters out of there.
Gagreed. At first I thought it was some obscure Joe Ely song or something, then I realized they wouldn't pay royalties for that, so it had to be done in-house, and who else....?
I wish his CD was as good as some of his Ticket throw-aways.
Michael, thanks a lot. I could have sworn that was Danny's vocal, doing a cheesy Elvis thing, and the lyrics were odd. I did wonder, though, since the instrumentation didn't sound like a Ticket production, and it also didn't sound like an empty soundtrack. Appreciate the info.

Yeah, it's definitely Danny. Sounds like him. The spoken intro is him.
ReplyDeleteI haven't heard his album but I thought it had gotten some positive press and good sales.
The song itself is called "Swimming Pool" by the G-Men. I do hope Danny will cover it at some point, though. :)

ReplyDeleteMaybe it's Danny singing someone else's song.
ReplyDeleteNo, I believe Sweet Michael is correct. I headed online to hear a clip from it, and sure enough. So unless Danny is a G-Man, it's not Danny.
ReplyDeleteBut it's out there enough to be Danny.
No, Danny doesn't sing at all. He voiced the intro ("Hey everybody!") but no singing by him on there. It's all the G-Men.
