Big Weekend?

Contrary to speculation, it appears that Matt McClearin is going to continue to co-host with Scot Harrison on The Soul Patch for a third week.  At least, I think I heard that correctly -- the spot kinda crept up on me.  Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I believe I also heard Harrison say there was going to be a major SP announcement during the course of the showgram.

And we have sometime crypto-insider Gypo Nolan commenting in an earlier post that htere are going to be, as he put it, a "BIIIGG weekend shakeup" in the offing.

Yah, I know we've got the always-critical third Cowboy pre-season game, and the Angels in town, blah blah blah, but this is important.

My pants are uncomfortable!!

  1. My guess is that the announcement/BIIIGG shakeup is that the SP lineup has been solidified as Harrison and McClearin.

By the way, Harrison's on Diamond Talk tonight. So far, and it's really early in yet, so good.

  2. I missed it. Who was Harrison subbing for?

  3. Could it be that The Soul Patch is finally changing the name of their show? I would assume Matt is on their for good. I didn't hear the diamond talk but I think Scott and Sean would be a pretty good team.

  4. When I heard that Harrison was on Diamond Talk, I wondered whether Newbury was, as the Eagles might say, Already Gone.

I guess we'll find out in a few hours.

  5. Newbury was doing the Friday night high school football show that's airs at 11 pm. He's been co hosting it for the last 2 years. Ty even explained from the get go why Newbury wasn't on Diamond Talk and Harrison was.

I'm thinking the announcement (and won't it be Sunday, not today?) will be about a name and permanent co host change.

  6. It's amazing how much better Diamond Talk was last night. A win didn't hurt things.

  7. Thanks for the clarification, two Anonymi back.

  8. Permanent. Out. Moving. Future new.

  9. I have no idea what that means, but if we're losing you, Anonymous . . . stay thirsty, my friend.

  10. The Nation got a couple of unspecific mentions on SP this morning, Scot talking about "blogs and message boards" being abuzz with the big announcement. Could have been other blogs and message boards, sure.

By the way -- I don't go looking for Ticket blogs, but I'd sure like to know about any that are active. Please pass them along (other than UnTicket, grubesismyleader, or Ticket in-house boards). Thanks.

    Cngratulations to Matt.

Looks like the name change is not a part of the package.

  11. I have a feeling this was not the BIIIG change promised us by crypto-insider Gypo Nolan.

  12. Why exactly did you delete the reference to JJT's major twitter blunder? Givn he's been a major point of discussion here lately, it seemed relevant. They talked about it on today's show too.

  13. The "p" reference. I know it wasn't your word, Shaggy, but it didn't pass the test. If you want to repost with the word looking like "p_________," I'll keep it. Sorry.

Even The Ticket would dump that one.

  14. So what was the big announcement?

  15. This is the internet Plainsman, not the government regulated public airwaves, is that really necessary. Now I want to know about JJT's twitter incident and don't have any information.

  16. Anonymous,

No, it isn't a government-regulated utility (yet), it's something even more highly-regulated, by me.

Check grubesismyleader.com, apparently it's all over the place. Or perhaps Shaggy will repost as suggested.

  17. JJT thought he was sending a private message:

RT @JacquesTaylor: if u get yo ass home on time and shove some p***y in my face i will pick u up some wings

  18. Hah! I can't really blame him for that! If he's got that much scene control, then he deserves a slow clap. And, of course, some sloppy p***y.

  19. Wow! I guess JJT hasn't learned a thing from all the athletes he's covered who've committed the same kind of stupid indiscretion by the miracle of Twitter.

The dude's definitely got some issues.

  20. Something tells me he doesn't talk that way to his wife...
