A Few Quick Hits

(1) Craig "Junior" Miller was on fire this morning.  He played the race card explicitly (even used the phrase "I'm going to play the race card") in arguing that the Rangers wouldn't give a black player the same chance after chance that they are giving Josh Hamilton.   Then he called Sooner quarterback Baker Mayfield a "spazz" and "spastic," not just once, but several times.  Not disputing the point -- just a little startling to hear while I'm shaving.

(2) I haven't heard much of Monty + The Machine (i.e., "Not a Podcast") lately.  I did hear some of Mike "The Machine" Marshall's post-game Mavericks work and thought it was pretty good.

(3) We now have some theories on the ubiquity of those unlistenable Meador ads.  (i) A couple of posts ago a Confessor advised that Meador had fallen off a list of -- I forget exactly, maybe the Confessor can re-post, but the thought was that it had lost a spot on a list of quality or trustworthy dealers, or something like that.  Accounts for a million ads that say nothing about the products or the price, but are all about honesty, transparency, and the like.   (ii) General Sales Manager Charlie Gray, I'm guessing, is doing all those voices and, I'm also guessing, writes the copy.  Remember the one where Charlie is talking and all of a sudden, without an obvious edit, "Bob" begins to talk?

(4)  I owe Emmitt Smith an apology.  For weeks I drove by the digital billboard going north on the Tollway not far from downtown, and I would see this ad for PlainsCapital bank.  It showed a photograph of Emmitt and what I took to be a computer-generated image of a very beautiful young woman.  I mean, I thought she was a product of the animator's art, I really did.  The legend was "Our Bank Has Swagger."  Why, I thought, would they generate some fake image to show with Emmitt?  I thought maybe she was supposed to be his banker.   Here is the photo, without the PlainsCapital logo.

I suppose a true fan would know that that is his wife, Pat.  But I didn't.  Driving by at 65 mph, with billboard-quality resolution, I thought she was CGI all the way.  Turns out no, she's just perfect.  So I apologize to both Mr. and Mrs. Smith for my crass error.  Been making a lot of those lately.

Go forth, Confessors.

  2. 1. There's no way to prove how the Rangers would have treated a similar player who happened to be of another race. When we accuse people of racism because of hypothetical situations, we belittle and minimize actual racism which goes on in this country, and we shouldn't do that. Craig needs to be careful here.
    2. When I listened to Not a Podcast during vacation, they were nearly as unlistenable as the Meador ads.
    3. No excuse.
    4. As great as Emmitt is, he still outkicked his coverage with Pat.

  3. Did anyone hear the Parking Garage talk led by Craig this morning (Feb 28th)? Craig said that he knew of some co-workers that use the parking garage for workplace car-sex. Gordo said he didn't know anyone and Craig said oh ya you do. George said I would be nervous about the motion detectors being set off with Car sex. As this discussion was going down Big Strong J played a micro-second of the Corby pterodactyl laugh.. I couldn't believe my ears. It was almost as if they were strongly hinting of some Corby parking garage vehicular impropriety.

  4. I should say that Craig didn't go so far as to accuse the Rangers of racism. Although he did say he was playing the "race card," what he was really saying was that the Rangers engaged in (hypothetical, you understand, since he did not identify any AA equivalent to Josh) "disparate treatment" discrimination. Which does not carry with it the toxic fumes of a charge of racism. It didn't come across that way, and he didn't dwell on it (which is why it surprised me a little that he brought it up at all).

  5. I truly have missed large swaths of Ticket goodness because I punch out on Meador ads and don't punch back in until after said swaths of said goodness have passed. I wonder how many other P1's do the same. It's nice to have a bread-and-butter client like Meador to buy commercials, but I'll bet obnoxious and/or too-frequently-repeated (especially when they are also too long) ads do lead to a tickdown in listenership.

  7. I found Craig's argument a bit disjointed on the race card aspect as he seemed to be shifting between Ranger Fandom and Ranger front office. I can't dispute that there might be some small or large element of truth to the racial component but this is also a metroplex that gave Roy Tarpley a standing ovation one his return and loved Michael Irvin. I am not even sure that Ranger fandom really welcomed Josh back to the degree that Junior thinks we did. My, admittedly small, sample of Ranger fans was at best apathetic to the whole thing.

  8. I believe that list for car dealers was with Ed Wallace of Wheels on KLIF.
All of the dealerships pay to be on that preferred list for the commercial content. Ed writes and produces the commercials so there is that. I don't know if he has ever been associated with Jerry Reynolds on The Car Pro at WBAP or not.

    ReplyDelete
  9. That is the list (I'm the Confessor who made the comment Plainsman refers to). Gopher, you are incorrect about dealers paying Ed to be on the list. They do not. Ed chooses them based on his decades in the local auto industry. Nor does Ed write the copy. The dealer does. Ed will tell them to correct, amend, and clarify certain parts of the ad if he deems them to be ambiguous or could in any way viewed as misleading. As well, he invites them on the show; they do not pay. That would be payola of sorts, and that is illegal. Ed's show is not, like The Tee Box or The Train Station, a paid for program. It is an actual show, just like BaD is.

  11. Junior's fire was still going this morning as he commented on Baylor's latest mishaps, the mouthy Woman's Basketball coach and a PR video Baylor released. He said something to the effect of Baylor should just have never gotten in to sports. While I agree, I am sure he will be blocking a lot of tweeters this morning.

As far as Emmitt and his wife, I know it's PC to over-compliment the woman when speaking about a couple, but when you are the NFL's all-time leading rusher and, in the NFL HoF and, according to CNW, a millionaire 18X over, you can not out-kick your coverage.

Which TV show was the Hardline promoting this time?

  19. Charlie Gray and Meador will never approach the spike to the head that was Galyen's.
    This too shall pass.

I kinda sorta sometimes pay attention to TV talk if it might be something that interests me. Corby telling me about some awards show is almost always a punch out. The best one was when nobody else on the hardline watched it and he was twisting in the wind on his own.
note to Corby: nobody cares. You and your woman can watch the parade of stars and movies that we sometimes feel obligated to go see, but I can pass. Thanks for listening.

  20. Do we a breaking station announcement when it is just self promotion? At least Rhyner does it frequently without stopping down the show to just talk about something he is doing for an entire segment. Good cause for the show, but seems like it is not a station announcement worthy.

  22. So the national feed show that came on right after TSJ, some sort of baseball themed thang, well, the host used the term "showgram" when referring to his show. Only time I've ever heard that before is from you, Pblaze. Then the questions remain: Are you a CBS host living in the DFW and this is your semi-anonymous blog where you try to take the temp of the P1 in order to capture some O dat Ticket magic? Is this host a Confessor or at least a peruser of MTC? Or, is "showgram" a term used in the industry?

    Your move, Psprocket.

While I agree that the huge station announcement bit is played out, I will say that Jub Jam has become a Ticket event, and it benefits a really great charity, so I have no problem with it. Nor do I have a problem with Mike Rhyner plugging his band on his station. I think the Old Gray Wolf has earned the right to use a little air time to make P1s aware of his gigs.

  26. Interesting article about the possible elimination of sports updates ("Ticket tickers" on our radio station of choice) in sports talk radio. Mega sports talk station KNBR in San Francisco has eliminated theirs. Start of a trend?

    http://sportsradiopd.com/2017/03/the-clock-is-ticking-on-sports-radio-updates/

    ReplyDelete
  27. My problem with Tickers has always been the mundane audio they tend to put in there. It always goes like this:

(Local sports team name) lost last night in a close one. (Star player name) says the team just needs to execute better:

Audio clip from athlete: "Too bad we lost that game. We just need better execution."

    ReplyDelete
  28. Yeah, I think they are totally superfluous. I never listen to them. Let's hold a good thought for Ty and TC.

    ReplyDelete
  29. one of the weekend shows could be ending. each show could be its last.

    ReplyDelete
  30. The KNBR ticket issue has some other elements which were overlooked by both sportsradiopd.com and awfulannouncing.com.

Joe Hughes did more than just tickers, he was a producer and a Danny-like role on a 12-3p weekday show.

The major one is about unions. Both of the two employees fired were key players in the unionization of KNBR employees and the sister station KTCT, which is also all sports. Matt Kolsky led a public protest, and Joe Hughes was part of a SAG-AFTRA video on YouTube calling out Cumulus for not paying a living wage in San Francisco.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1jOlT4iFJsw

The other issue is who fired them. It was not Lee Hammer, who is the PD. It was the area VP, Justin Wittmayer, who happened to arrive at Cumulus SF in September 2014, one month before the SAG-AFTRA vote. There has been a stalemate in the wage issue since the employees unionized and they have yet to even agree to mediation.

  31. I haven't done a forensic study of So Anonymous's predictions in the past, but given the overall appalling record of our anonymous informants, I'm inclined to doubt it, although it's a tautology that a weekend show "could be ending," and "each show may be its last," which may be said of any show, weekend, weekday, excellent or lame.

Don't wish ill fortune on any weekend show or host, but I'd sure like to find a home for Country Force.

What are the "weekend shows," anyway? I don't think we can count Train Station or Teebox, which I believe are purchased time. Could be offbase on that, would welcome correction. And anyway, The Ticket could pull their plug and sell the time elsewhere.

    Leaving:

Not a Podcast (nka Monte + The Machine)

I'm sure people of influence shop at My Ticket Confession. Ticket weekend hosts, other JV, and media megatitans generally.

  33. I am totally Corby and Hardline free these days, however BaD sneaked in a Corby bit on their show opening last week. Apparently Corby goaded some Nascar fan about Dale Earnhardt's death being due to a failed gay relation with another driver, you know, the kind of Corby humor that gets his face slapped at GNO. Anyway today, I almost punched out when BaD started the Corby prank on Bob, that I guess was played last week. However, I stayed with it, and for the first time, I found one of Corby's pranks somewhat funny, and not the usual boring waste of time. The guy asking Bob to read the the "Cash me outside, how bout dat" line in Spanish killed me.

  35. Maybe Country Force can take over for Race Week. I know a number of the shows recently discussed the death of NASCAR

  36. The only useful element of the Ticket Ticker is, it let's me know that the show is about to come back on. They could be giving them in arabic for all I know, I don't pay any attention to what they are actually saying.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Tickers are pretty much a thrashing. But I would not like to lose the services of Ty or Eli, and BaD needs T.C. to . . . do stuff for them. My guess is that they'll continue to be a part of The Ticket for some time.

One thing I would like to see is for The Ticket to become an actual sports news station, going out and getting stories rather than just digesting what other media has collected.

    ReplyDelete
  38. Plainsman: you have a great point. I have always wondered why the Little One doesn't send a reporter to press conferences, ask questions, maybe have a guy who looks into things and find answers, rather than finding answers from other news sources and raking them into a pile.

  39. If I were to take a stab at guessing which weekend show would go first, it would be Shake Joint. I can almost guarantee that with Jake's schedule of BaD, Mavs postgame, podcast network, and living in Fort Worth, I bet he's getting fed up with being up at 5am on Sunday to do Shake. If I'm not mistaken, I would bet he and his wife are probably getting to the age where they're thinking about kids too.... and Sean has a couple kids, so I'm sure he'd like more personal time as well. Just a hunch... If Shake sticks around, I could see Cirque maybe mailing in their show. Hell, one of the two is out what seems like every week anyway. I also wouldn't be shocked to see Tickers go the way of the Dodo as well. They're pretty antiquated at this point. However, I do think they have the best crop of ticker men they've ever had (minus hack TC of course). Sean, Ty, Eli, John, are all really solid and probably deserve a spot on air.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I'm skeptical that any weekend show is that close to the chopping block. If any were to get the ax, I'm doubtful that it would be Shake Joint. Hosting is a priceless commodity for these guys, and the miserable hours, multiple hat-wearing, and subsistance pay are a precondition of getting into the field that these guys know well in advance, and so do their spouses. Jake is clearly a favored JV at the station, and I don't see either Jeff Catlin or Jake desiring to reduce his front-line visibility.

I don't desire the end of Race Week -- Carlos seems like a good guy and he's gotten better and better at his assignment here -- but that show was a Rich Phillips baby all the way and I just don't know how much fizz it has remaining for the P1 since his departure.

Kick Around is dedicated to a sport with a big Ticket following.

Cirque is a shambling, entertaining train wreck I would hate to see leave, but Cash has other fish to fry, so that's a possibility. Although they've been at it a long time and are pretty much a fixture -- also, they tend to get lots of tasty remotes, which suggests that advertisers are attracted to the show. So unless Cash and Mike want to end it, I think Cirque will be around awhile.

I don't see Cat giving up on Monte + Machine; he'll continue to give it the opportunity to find its voice and audience.

I guess the answer is that shows end for a lot of reasons -- friction with management, low advertiser interest, P1 complaints, and, as 1158 suggests, host beatdown. (Are weekend ratings even measured, DA?) The two weekend casualties that come to mind are, of course, Rant and Orphanage. Any lessons to be taken there?

I think the main lesson is: Don't listen to rumors about showgram death.

    ReplyDelete
  41. The Ticket does send guys to press conferences and postgame/locker room gangbangs. That's where they get ticker audio

    ReplyDelete
  42. Right. I was hoping for a little more original reportage.

In fact, as I recall, a former up-and-comer was invited to depart when he had that assignment one evening but failed to return to The Ticket with, as they call it, "tape."

I don't see it as a weekend show, but I cast a vote for Intentional Grounding all year 'round.

    ReplyDelete
  43. P-Man @12:18. Let me clarify my earlier comment... I don't think Shake Joint is going anywhere. They certainly aren't getting the "axe". I was simply saying they would be the most likely to decide they didn't want to deal with the hours and headache anymore. Mainly because of the Sunday morning time slot. I'm with you, I don't think any of the weekend shows are going anywhere. Although I wouldn't mind seeing NaP replaced with something else. Not a huge fan. If NaP is to succeed, they need more Monty and less weird from Machine.

    ReplyDelete
  44. I wonder if Race Week is not another of those paid for shows. The interviews and reports are part of a syndicated show and a local "host" just ties it all together. In the days before a vehicle with XM, I have heard the same interviews on several different stations and states on the same day.

  45. Anyone else noticing some prime segments on THL going unsponsored lately? Seems like it's happened on CQH once or twice. A bit stunning in my eyes given what a pillar segment that is, and we're way past drydock. But I'm a radio business noob. No big deal or is this significant?

The only thing missing is the ability to skip forward 15 seconds.

  48. Dirk's non-appearance on the Musers this morning was a bit of a sour note in an otherwise awesome Mavs situation. They had been teasing it all morning and I'm sure I was not the only listener who waited anxiously as it got delayed and then was very disappointed when they ultimately announced that Dirk would not be on after all because he had stayed up past 4am celebrating. I don't blame Dirk one bit -- he is my hero and he had every right to celebrate as much and as late as he wants -- but I do blame the Mavs organization, it seems like they should have known better than to promise a Dirk appearance the morning after the big 30,000 game.

I second Arky P1's comment about the SportsDay Talk App. I was one of its biggest critics for a while but they have really made some substantial improvements. I almost never lose the stream anymore and the ability to go back 60 minutes from the point you fire up the app is pretty damn awesome, as Sturm mentioned recently.

  49. I was quite happy that Dirk came on BaD radio for his post-30K night. They've had a great relationship with him over the years and it showed today. Those guys are my heroes.

  50. I think they were pretty sure he wouldn't be on, as it was alluded to during the 8:40 bit. Fake Cuban said something like "don't count on Dirk making it next...he was up with me till 4 last night"

Still would have been nice to hear first thing this morning though.

  53. We all need to remember results like these (thanks to Gopher) when we ask ourselves why Cat doesn't "fix" one thing or another, like Hardline lassitude, or annoying political commentary, or JV popons that we're not crazy about. It is pretty obvious that not enough listeners have been driven away from the station on account of these cavils to make even the tiniest dent in The Ticket's dominance.

So love it or leave it, but so far the numbers leaving kind of look like the number of celebrities who really, actually, did keep their promise to leave the country following Mr. Trump's election -- not nearly enough to matter.

    ReplyDelete
  54. "You may notice that the ratings are being reported differently, sans specific share points, this month. That's because Nielsen, which compiles the numbers and owns proprietary tights to them , is demanding it be this way.

We can tell you that The Ticket's Musers, Hardline, Bad Radio as well as Norm and Donavan were the only shows to earn double-digit ratings shares in men 25-54. Yes, they all ranked No. 1 in their time slots regardless of format. Down the list of shows, The Fan's No. 1 show was G-Bag Nation while ESPN's top draw was Mike & Mike."

    They did Donovan wrong.

    ReplyDelete
  55. I believe Donovan and Jake have another mix show from 7-9 this evening.

    ReplyDelete
  56. Thanks as always, DA.

You've been advising us about the unreliable of the data for a long time.

But it seems to me that, egregious and provable screwups aside, it doesn't matter if the data is unreliable. It's the only data there is. If it's what sponsors use to make buys (or not), then attention must be paid despite its flaws. Also, a system as unreliable as you say it is would tend to show material variability from time to time over time in a single market. And yet, for years the Ticket has been dominant and no competitor has offered a competing model for comparing listenership that disputes KTCK's consistent kicking of competitor ass. So despite (credible) anecdotes of screwed up books, we're left with numbers that are relied upon for millions in spends and format/programming decisions by everyone who matters.

But here's another question for you: We've been batting around the weekend shows in this thread. Do their ratings get measured?

    ReplyDelete
  57. All hours are measured by the PPM. Monday-Sunday, 6AM-Midnight is the general ratings block for radio.

I am not the only one claiming that Nielsen fails basic research methods (reliability and validity). Read up on what industry execs think.

The metrics are additionally flawed if you happen to be forced to wear headphones in your office. PPMs cannot measure headphone use!
    http://jacobsmedia.com/the-radio-headphone-measurement-problem/

    ReplyDelete
  58. Thanks again DA. Man, I'd love to know what the weekend numbers look like.

Oh, I'm sure you are by no means an outlier in criticizing the way station popularity is measured. I've been reading about it myself. The only point I wanted to make is that as long as there's nothing else purporting to deliver the same information, people who need to make decisions based on who's listening and how many have no place else to turn. Lousy as they may be, they're the default metric.

So those numbers will also interest The Confessor.

    ReplyDelete
  59. I think the eyeball test is a fairly decent indicator. I've seen pics of Ticket and FAN events over the past six months, and it's not even close: The Ticket outdraws The FAN by a considerable margin. Consistently so. Can anyone out there that attends/has attended (recently) both stations' events on a regular basis confirm or deny this?

    ReplyDelete
  60. oh why of why does TC chime in so much on Bad Radio? He's not a part of the show and should not be a part of the discussion!

    ReplyDelete
  61. TC is part of the show now....that's why I can hardly listen to BaD anymore. He's horrible at his job and adds nothing to the air, but he's their friend.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I'm done with BaD until TC is gone. That whole segment was like waterboarding. I couldn't give one shit if TC can catch a hog. Maybe he should focus his energy on not mumbling through a ticker before he's doing bits. It's his pitiful way of trying to stay relevant and Bob and Dan keep falling for it. Please KTCK management. Please rid us of this nonsense.

    ReplyDelete
  63. I missed Joonz's ruling. What was the verdict?

    ReplyDelete
  64. There was a time not so very long ago, children, that I imposed a moratorium on T.C.-bashing here. It was effective (especially since I deleted some comments) but eventually lifted.

He doesn't bother me the way he bothers a lot of Confessors. I've said before that I think many have never forgiven him for his ill-advised comportment on his decampment to Florida, and his elevated and not-well-camouflaged self-image. But as I sit back and try to listen objectively to the actual content he brings to the station, he just doesn't ruin BaD for me. He can be funny. His Tickers are no longer as bad as portrayed by some Confessors. When they go bad, they're gold. And he takes it.

And, as debased says, he's got Bob's and Dan's vote, so if you're going to tune in to BaD -- which I wish I could do more often -- you're going to get a stout dose of T.C. To me, he's just one of the it-takes-all-kinds voices that makes The Ticket what it is, a jumble of disparate parts that kind of work. Clearly, he hasn't driven away listeners to any noticeable degree.

We all have our favorites and those we avoid. I certainly do. So -- especially since he does seem to be featured more and more -- I'm not going to shut down T.C. talk entirely. But I would invite everyone to keep it civil and, if possible, substantive.

This site was founded in part to move away from the Corby Sux School of Ticket Journalism. So let's find something more interesting to say than demanding a firing that isn't going to happen.

  65. Craig gave him one week to take the trap from his home (or the studio), set it himself, trap a hog himself, and transport it to Victory himself. An independent videographer (Tier 4 or higher) must document all aspects of the operation.

Dan spoke up and said TC could have more time as he has plans the next two weekends. Craig was adamant about limiting it to two weeks maximum as TC's plans were very flimsy, but Bob and Dan insisted that he be given 3 weeks.

    And so the bet commences.

    ReplyDelete
  66. The way some people react about TC, you would think that TC ran over their dog.

  67. I think getting lost in all this is how crummy it is for personalities to be offering another employee $2,000 dollars to do anything. I'm sure some of the other producers/ticker guys that aren't making dick would like a shot at an extra 2K. Seems pretty ridiculous to me.

"Getting lost in all this..." Give it a rest, 4:02. What is "lost in all this" is you. Stop obsessing over T.C. Is he a horse's ass far too often, yes. But so what? He's a foil. It's fun to want to flick the foil on the nose; it's fun to watch the foil get his comeuppance; but he's also "our" foil. That is, we're all on the same team, even if T.C. is a gasbag. At the end of the day you don't want anything bad to happen to him. Indeed, just the opposite. He's a decent guy who's also annoying. He's the Uncle Leo of BaD, of The Ticket. You love him, he's your uncle; but you also wouldn't mind seeing him spend one uneventful night in jail, or get one nice sock in the kisser that doesn't bruise or split his lip. Take T.C. for what he is, and move on. T.C.'s not the problem, your problem with T.C. is--at least it is for you and for the rest of us who have to constantly read your pisses and moans.

  69. I'm genuinely worried about TC, hogs are mean...as for the bet I wish there was some penalty for not completing the bet, there's no negative consequences to this bet for TC other than he doesn't get 2k

His penalty should be he has to train for running a 6 min mile until he completes it.

  70. Could somebody please fill me in on the "thumb up"?? I'm sure I'm the only one who isn't in on it but I was curious. Any help is appreciated!

  72. Does anybody know about Lazer? That has been on with the Sirois Twins a lot of times? Are they a real band? Guy was impressive that free style rapped....but then again I'm an old white dude. Just curious if anyone had any info

  73. Same here! I heard him a few months back and caught him Sat. I know nothing about rap [old white guy here] but found him pretty entertaining.

  74. If you have a Soundcloud account look up Sneaky Sneak for more of Lazer's fine work.

  77. Thank you to Mike and Danny for shutting down Corby's spoiled frat boy logic about Zeke Elliott. I don't care that he is 21 (An adult). We have all been taught since we were children to keep our hands to ourselves.

  78. @6:24

Thank you for saying that...correct me if I'm wrong but that lady could press charges again Zeke right?

Outside of that, that is not something dumb you do when you're young.

  79. Boo!:
If she were to want charges filed against Zeke, it would be a Class C Misdemeanor of Assault by Offensive Contact, which is the lowest level offense in Texas (the same level as a traffic citation). Although ridiculous, offensive, stupid, classless, etc etc, in Texas, this conduct doesn't constitute any kind of "sexual assault." Probably about time that the legislature stops crowing about bathrooms and increases the penalty for grabbing random boobs to be more than a ticket.

  80. @Gareth

Thanks!, TIL about grabbing random boob consequences.

  81. Car dealers kinda have a reputation of not keeping it real.

There is no dealing under the table...only on the top of the table

I don't like to think of myself as a car dealer rather than a guy who happens to sell cars.

  82. You know what, anon 1014? You gotta friend in the car business. Always know that. Know that if you need a car. Any car. Any car you want. You've gotta friend. Reagor Dykes, mother scratcher.

  83. And I do my radio ads on a cell phone. Just casual phone interview style. Just keepin it real.

    ReplyDelete
  84. Yeah, but that phone interview really endears bart to the regular guy, or girl, or just people. You see, why rehearse a radio ad when you can simply change the description of what you do and who you are mid-sentence? It's that lack of preparation and sincerity that build trust. And let's not forget, he J-walked in North Dallas, rode a skateboard with horns on the front in North Dallas, and he's been stuck in traffic in North Dallas. Who better to get you any car you want in North Dallas? Even if you want the Dog Van from "Dumb and Dumber."

  85. What is with the schlotzsky's ads?! The "briiiiiiiiiskiiiiiiiiit sannnnnnnnnnnndwhichiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis" one. It sounds like is was designed to fucking annoy. Next one I pass gets a brick through their window.

  86. Did anybody else not laugh at the Corby bragging bit on BaD yesterday? I didn't either. Sadly, I found the boring Chris-Chris Corby bragging bit more truthful than funny.
