BREAKING BREAKING BREAKING: Speculation Confirmed: Junior Coast-to-Coast, 7 PM, Tonight

A Cumulus employee who spoke on condition of using a fearful Michelle Wie voice (but not Gordon) has confirmed that Craig "Junior" Miller will be plumbing the paranormal, identifying the unidentifiable, and indulging his interest in all things relating to harvesting bodily fluids on a special renegade one-off pirate-radio edition of "Junior Coast-to-Coast" at 7 PM on KTCK 1310AM/96.7 FM "The Ticket" SportsTalk Radio.

  5. We live in a world where Tony Romo and Ryan Tannehill are getting paid $100 million. Ridiculous.

  6. 221: I have no further detail on JC2C. Sorry.

  7. this is why i LOVE 1:30 News. this story is hilarious on so many levels, plus as a bonus the reporter is just smokin' - and i doubt i would ever have known about it, if not for Dan.

By the way, I listened to the radio version several times, and I didn't realize until watching the video that Sir John is NOT the one who was arrested.

  8. It's like listening to a masterpiece being made.

  9. I've missed Junes Coast to Coast. He's so freaking funny. They can't do what he can do.

  10. Junior was joined by Hawkeye Lewis from the KSCS morning show and he shared a story from his Dad's time in the Air Force. A militarized Bigfoot was taken to one of the bases around San Antonio. The speculation was suspected weaponizing in potential cold weather engagement for locales such as Siberia. Too Awesome.

  11. Count me as one who loves the Chris Chris bit. Had me dying laughing on the way to work.

  12. Joonz Coast to Coast rocked the f'n casbah! We can do what they can do, but they can't do what we can do. Damn straight!

  13. My participation in Junior Coast to Coast means I can die a happy man.

  14. So you're visiting DFW.
You get in to your rental car.
You tune your radio to 1310 AM or 96.7 FM to listen to this amazing major market sport radio station you've heard so much about.
#1 sport talk station in the great southwest.
    Marconi award winning station.
2 radio hall of famers are part of the on air staff.
    You're expectations are high.
Then you're treated to a guy coughing up a lung instead of using the cough button.
    Incredible.

  15. Does anyone have a link to the audio?

    ReplyDelete
  16. And coughing INTO the mic, which might possibly be used by his colleagues later on.

Still, have to say: Felt sorry for the guy, he was obviously in distress.

    ReplyDelete
  17. I can't believe management let him on air sounding like that.

    ReplyDelete
  18. Seems to me the first thing that you learn about broadcasting after "don't cuss" is how to turn off the microphone before you sneeze or cough.

Despite all of his indignation over Ragonk, I think T.C. has realized that he can use failed tickers to get attention.

And it's just possible that some of the other ticker guys will come to the same conclusion. So a failed ticker may make for good radio comedy, but if it gets out of hand Cat will have to step in and enforce a clean product.

  19. In regards to this mornings Ebrake winner while trying to not stray outside the Linez of the Rulez:

    1. Turn off the mic. Eject, Bail, Do not Broadcast. The first cough was funny..what followed sounded absolutely terrible.

    2. Straight up Ferris Bueller keyboard coughs.

    3. Ticker guys need to be PRE medicating.

    4. To the Catman - Fool me once..shame on...shame on you? Y'fool me, We Can't Get Fooled Again.

  20. I caught the last hour of Junior Coast to Coast and laughed as hard as I can remember ever laughing at The Ticket. Hawkeye's Big Foot story was brilliant in both content and delivery. How they played that bit straight, I'll never understand. The P1 call ins were on a different level compared to the bits that come in during E-brake voting and other call in times.

Also caught the recap this morning on the Musers. Junior mentioned that he hopes to do this more often. He also said something along the lines of "I hope this encourages others to come into the studio and just jump on the mic". I can't agree more.

Whether this was prompted the CTO or not, I don't care. That is the stuff that turns into radio gold.

Ratings, be damned. These guys are still great and if you take Norm's invitation to go somewhere else for your sports talk, you are missing out.

    Ragonk.

  21. Cat will keep HeeHoo at all costs. Can't only have Norm supplying all the drops. Haven't had this much since Greggo and Rocko. Hearing George laugh at the e-brake this morning - the hosts eat this stuff up and that's what makes the LT what it is.

  22. Just heard The Hardline prank for the first time. Not bad. Definitely not one of the best but pretty good little prank.

    The fake spot was hillarious.

    ReplyDelete
  23. I think the Junes Coast 2 Coast extravaganza last night is the perfect example of what makes the little ticket so special.

We can do what they can do but they can't do what we can do never rang truer than last night

    ReplyDelete
  24. I'd like to commend the hosts this week for grinding through every single one of those ridiculous Vermont Teddy Bear "handcuff" ads.

    ReplyDelete
  25. I listened to this on Saturday morning. I have to believe this is all a bit, correct? I was thinking all this is a bit but a few parts came off as just a too bit earnest.

Does Junes just want to do one hour of bits and make it comedy?

Am I missing the joke here because if it was bits I just don't get it.

  26. Since Junior's C2C delved into the area of conspiracies, I think this is a legitimate question.

Could any of the phone calls have been setups?

Pman, did anyone report having trouble with Captcha on Saturday? Could it have been time travelers trying to keep us from discussing Rod Carew?

    ReplyDelete
  27. I guess I'm the only one, but as a fan of Junes and C2C, put me down as extremely disappointed. I recorded on TuneIn and waited anxiously to listen. I didn't even make it all the way through before deleting it. I get what he was doing and appreciate the effort but found it completely unfunny.

  28. At 8:45am today The fake Old Grey Wolf joined the Musers to discuss his new book "50 Shades of Grey Wolf." Along with e-book and Kindle release, it will also be released on clay tablet and Obelisk. It will include such sex acts as throwing his partner down a garbage chute and breaking a lawn chair over her back. He'll perform auto maintenance for her in exchange. Pretty funny.

  29. Have you noticed that anyone else on the station who tries a fake Rhyner is just imitating Gordon's impression? Same with Greggo.

    ReplyDelete
  30. To East Tex P1

Humor is a fickle thing, it's taken me a long time to understand the insane subtle humor of Junes. In fact the first time I heard Junes C2C during the compound years, I didn't get it.

I hold the personal opinion that the Junes has the most insane humor at the little ticket. Does anyone remember the drop of guns being fired off, gordo shouting "I'm dying, I'm Dying!" and then Junes starts sing happy birthday in the background?

    Pure insanity.

The thing I hope comes from JC2C is that other hosts do something similar, Georgie Texas country night, Bob and Donovan 90s rap night, I'll even listen to NPR Gordon or take phone calls all show Mike...I just enjoy the little ticket's work.

    ReplyDelete
  31. So the Fake Mike Rhyner 50 Shades of Old Grey Wolf bit was supposed to be funny right?

    The decline of Gordo continues.

    ReplyDelete
  32. JC2C gave me several laugh out loud moments especially when the callers started with "do you have me" even though he said it was not necessary. I kept hoping VSBB would call in. Also would have loved to have heard a fake Greggo call in asking about the location of the Time Machine in Garland and the potential gold that could have produced.

  33. Nothing better than a Hardline segment about the Cowboys in the middle of February to screw up the flow of the show.

    ReplyDelete
  34. Cowboys drive sports bus.

Should Gordon not do Fake Jerry until training camp?

    ReplyDelete
  35. Ed Carter = not funny

    ReplyDelete
  36. Fake Jerry could never be heard from again and The Ticket would not suffer one bit. It's a tired bit.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Bob, must respectfully disagree.

One man's tired bit is another man's institution. Fake Jerry (and some of the other fakes) have become part of the fabric of sports in Cool Metro. Sure, it's an old bit, but Real Jerry (and his family, and his coach) continue to present a rich seam of potential gags. Always glad to hear that Fake Jerry is going to call in.

    Now, Carlton Maxwell . . . .

  38. Given a choice between an off-season Cowboy segment and a Better Call Saul segment, I know which I would pick.

  39. Got back in my car after lunch today and heard the very end of a promo talking about a free concert by the Old 97's. At first I thought it was just a Ticketstock promo but then realized I had the radio on 103.3.

Did anyone else hear this or know if Ticketstock is advertising on ESPN. Thought is was strange.

    ReplyDelete
  40. I disrespectfully disagree with you. Fake Jerry is terrible.

    ReplyDelete
  41. Oh goody....another Cowboy segment being forced down our throat by The Hardline about Dez's contract. It's February and they've already talked this thing to death.

Cardinals just re-signed Fitzgerald. Give me Fitzgerald over Dez any day of the week.

    ReplyDelete
  42. East Texas P1:

It would not surprise me if you did. I seem to recall a Ticketstock ad on WBAP last year. It's probably being promoted across the Culumus cluster.

    ReplyDelete
  43. Is that Junes on his wedding day? Whoa......how in the heck did you get that?

Was Gordo ever married? I could have sworn years ago , maybe in the mid 2000's on his website he used to have a link to his then wife's photography business...

    ReplyDelete
  44. 116, this is the famous "Junior and the Ghost" photo. It is not his wedding, but I believe he is attending a wedding, perhaps a member of the wedding party. The mystery is the image of the woman, or perhaps man -- the gender ambiguity, and the somewhat dour expression, adds to the drama of the mystery -- appearing in the bottom frame of the window behind him. I recall a segment where this image was explained, but do not remember what the explanation was.
