WHERE DO YOU GO AFTER SUNDAY MaSS?

First correct answer from a reader who uses a non-Anonymous name gets a prize.  Will probably be a crappy prize, haven't decided on it yet.

  1. Is here a such thing as a correct answer? I don't go to mass, but after church on Sundays, I go home and fix lunch. Not sure if that's a "correct" answer.

  10. Well, Mr. Anon, despite your best efforts to defeat my imprecise rule-making with your ambiguous self-naming, I believe I am going to have to declare you the winner.

    Congratulations!

    Drop me an email.

  13. I listened to a few segments of MaSS this Sunday for the first time, and I have to declare, I'm not a huge fan at this point. Matt and Scot have essentially the same voice, so it's damn near impossible for me to tell them apart. It was too much work for me to listen to. Also, the content was generic enough that I don't even recall what they were talking about, except that they had one of their dads on the phone during one of the segments. They're both funny, engaging, intelligent guys, but the chemistry wasn't there for me, and there wasn't any content that I found engaging. Maybe it was an off day, what with it being Father's Day and all, but it just didn't grab me. I'm sure I'll be giving them another listen before too long, and just I hope it does more for me the next time.

  18. I don't have nearly the Ben-and-Skin-Disease same-voice problem with MaSS as I do with Cirque. In fact, while I understand birq's point, I can instantly tell who's talking on MaSS.

I've not been able to tune in the last few weeks, but in the past I've liked the show. Maybe I'll just like any weekend show that isn't some syndicated bilge, but I thought these guys had something.

I'll echo the thoughts of the good, sweet clean yet dirty Plainsman about MaSS. While I can see the strong Birq's point, MaSS doesn't seem to have near the same disease as Cirque. I will give Cirque props for being funny and having made me laugh when I've listened before, such as when they were booking the Ticket hosts battle royal. However, I do have to get on their case for not resetting. I remember listening one time and they just blew right into whatever they were going to talk about in their segment with zero "Welcome back to Show X, I'm Host A along with Host B" or whatever. I understand the Ticket's shtick of going against the grain and being counter culture, but you do have to reset when you come back from break. Granted, I haven't been able to listen to Cirque as much these days, so maybe it was just a one time brain fart. If so, then eff me. Oh, and Plainsman, you have lost a reader. No funeral :P

    What did Mr. Anon win?
